    these properties routinely have vehicles providing services to the building blocking bike lane rather than use the on-site parking areas

    please follow up with them and explain that their vendors cannot block the bike lane

    An “I’m sorry” response doesn’t fix the fact that the right turn from Mason St. and every subsequent exit from a driveway on this stretch of Brattle St. needs at the minimum a bollard to indicate that this dedicated bike lane is not for cars.

    Longfellows/Lamplighter is a popular destination but there are no bike racks besides a small one that only fits two bikes. It would be great to have a real bike rack here. I am actually sitting in the coffee shop and have seen numerous people come by on bike and not have a place to leave it. It would be great to put a rack maybe in the parking place out front. After all, a bike rack would fit at least 10 bikes while the parking space only fits one car. It would allow for many more custumers for local businesses!

    More bike racks in front of Target would be useful, given that it is one of the primary grocery stores in the area. The current racks in front of Target are regularly full during peak hours. There are other available racks in the Central Square area, but having to go to those while carrying groceries is less convenient.

    There is a serious lack of bike parking on this street, which makes it more difficult and complicated for me and my roommates to bike as our primary mode of transportation. I wrote in to request a bike rack 14 months ago, and the city said the sidewalk was too narrow but that they would install more bike racks across the street. These racks were never installed which is why I'm filing a second request. Furthermore, I want to again request bike racks on our side of the street, not just across the street. The bike racks would not make the sidewalk any more narrow than the street trees and tree roots already do.

    There are currently no bike racks on this section of Hampshire St., and the only places to lock up your bike nearby are parking signs and meters.
